Tuesday, June 4, 2013:
Since we were only planning to do 10 miles we left Buena Vista around 8:30 and started hiking around 9:00. We got to Cold mountain about noon and settled in on the grassy bald to enjoy the view and eat lunch. After a brief break we resumed our walk. A few minutes later I went over a hill to an astonishing view. As I reached for my camera I somehow lost my balance and fell off of the path and into the high grass and blackberries. Not only did I lose my balance but apparently my equilibrium as well. The spectical would be worthy of Americas funniest home videos. I landed on my back and full backpack like a flipped over turtle. I'd fallen and I can't get up. Floater had to come back and pull me up. Anyway we finally hiked 14 miles toSealey-Woolworth shelter just 3 miles from tomorrow's destination the Dutch House B&B.
