Soggy Monday

It rained most of the night but had pretty much stopped by 6:00 am. Even so the tent and fly were soaked as we packed up. What a mess. We'll dry out in 11 miles when we get to Buena Vista. The hike was pretty easy - level until Brown Mountain Creek Shelter and then slowly escalated 2000 ft up to US 60. We hitched a ride into town for some good food, resupply, and rest for weary legs. Tomorrow we will leave in mid morning for a short hike of about 11 miles to set up Wednesday's 6 mile hike to Dutch Haus B&B .
